The importance of voting for Harris in the current election (excerpt)

Leftists in the US have a range of views on the appropriate attitude to take toward elections, some saying it is a moral imperative to vote for the lesser of two evils, others equally strongly arguing that voting for a third party is necessary, and other arguing that boycott is the right action. These positions have in common a failure to look at the specific conditions of the current presidential election.

I agree with Daum on the point that the overriding reality is that Trump must be defeated, and the only realistic way for that to happen is for Harris to win. This position does not require one to hold any illusions about Harris.
