Christian nationalist pastor invited into Pentagon

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is now inviting his Christian nationalist pastor into the Pentagon. Hegseth has set up a prayer room inside the Pentagon with a pulpit and recently invited his pastor to come and preach at a special prayer service there. Hegseth’Ts favorite pastor actually flew in from Idaho for the event. This is Doug Wilson, head of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC).

Wilson made a splash during the covid pandemic as he preached resistance to government mask mandates, restrictions on distancing, etc. He actually organized political events where his followers, not wearing masks, would socialize. Some were arrested, and Wilson acquired fame in right-wing circles as someone who stood up to Big Government.

Previous to that, Wilson was known only as someone who defended slavery. He had written a book arguing that 19th-century slavery in the U.S. “really wasn’t that bad”, and that slavery was condoned by Biblical scripture.
Since the covid pandemic, Wilson’s system of branch churches has continued to grow, and he’s become well known for his advocacy of his system of democracy. He advocates, instead of having one-person voting with men and women both equal, a system of household voting. Each household should have one vote, with each household’s vote being cast by – guess who? – the head of the household. And that, according to Scripture, will normally be a man. So women will, in many if not all cases, be deprived of the right to vote.

This is the sort of trash Pete Hegseth is inviting into the Pentagon to guide the thinking of American generals and admirals. Black slavery was great, women can’t think for themselves and should be banned from voting, government guidance on health issues should always be opposed. God Bless America!
