Kimber overlooks the crucial issue of organization. He quotes Lenin, but Lenin was not a single individual musing about things; he was leader of a party with strong organizational links with the masses. Is there such an organization in France? He doesn't discuss this issue. What is the CP saying, and the SP? These are the organizations that undermined 1968, together with the trade union leaders. And what about other organizations of the radical left? The only ones Kimber is interested in are the autonomous anarchists and their doctrine of rioting. But they will be scattered to the winds by reaction to the violence of Oct. 17th.
