A new wave of struggle
Re: syria
An interesting development in Syria: the first large-scale offensive operation by Assad opponents in the last four years. It seems to be lead by pro-Turkish forces, but there may be others involved.
"One pro-Kremlin telegram account called this 'the Syrian [regime] army’s own local Kursk operation', stating, 'The militants' impending offensive was known in advance, but at the moment of the attack there were not enough forces at hand to repel it, and the defenders fled, opening the way for the enemy to quickly make deep breakthroughs forward.'”

From Facebook -
Eye on Syria
Many friends call and ask me what happened in north of Syria...so i will try to explain something from the news on ground
After the massacres committed by the Assad militias and the Iranian militias and the PKK and PYD militias every day against civilians in north of Syria especially during the last 2 months and every day there are martyrs and wounded civilians and there is displacement as a result of bombardment with missiles or the use of drones carrying explosives many people have been forced to flee from... Their areas into the unknown
There were great demands for the necessity of removing the Assad and Iranian militias as well as the PKK and PYD militias away from the population.
Therefore battles began in northern Syria yesterday morning
Under the name of deterring aggression
Most of the fighting factions in north of Syria participated in the battle against the Assad gangs and the PKK gangs
There are several battle axes large areas have been liberated and the rebels are now on the outskirts of the city of Aleppo from one side.
On the other side there are other combat axes in which the revolutionary fighters are fighting strong battles against the militias of Iran and Assad
All people in north of Syria support this battle for the liberation of the lands the return of the people of these areas to their cities and villages and the liberation of the lands from the gangs of Assad and Iran.
On the other way Assad's gangs used all types of weapons including warplanes and bombed several cities and villages yesterday and today until now especially in the western countryside of Aleppo which led to large massacres against civilians in markets or in homes as usual Iran and Assad's gangs take revenge on civilians.
There is a large displacement movement towards areas within north of Syria that are somewhat remote
But the sounds of bombing and warplanes did not stop and all the residents of northern Syria hear the bombing and aircraft and watch the battle
We are still waiting for good news about the liberation of more areas and we hope that it will be the beginning of the liberation of all of Syria
Also people are waiting for the battles to begin against the PKK gangs in order to liberate the cities and villages they occupy so that their people can return to their cities and villages.
I will share something from what happened because there's big silence about what happened in Syria
So please dear friends every where in this world remember there's more than 6 million civilians people in north of Syria need your voice
I trust you to be our voice and share every where
Thanks always for all who think in others

Re: syria
I haven't looked at the international press, but on Facebook amazing things are being reported. These are that not only do the rebels continue to capture more towns and villages, but that they've now taken half or all of Aleppo! And there is footage taken from drones showing Russian and Syrian forces fleeing eastward from one part of the city in trucks and other light vehicles, and of rebels entering what is said to be the city center. Of course the rebels have to keep their troops dispersed in order to avoid being bombed or hit by artillery, but going by the footage, the fighting does not seem to involve large numbers of troops on either side. Nevertheless, one of the rebel groups reports that it has captured 34 Assadist tanks, three mobile artillery pieces, and apparently some rocket launchers. Meanwhile, yesterday there was a report of the Syrian air force dropping barrel bombs (which are really only effective against civilians or stationary/dug-in troop formations) somewhere, but where is the Russian air force? Well, I don't know if it's really true, but a Syrian Facebooker says the Russians have betrayed Assad. We will see.

Well, the Russian air force has been involved, and one of the places it bombed yesterday was Idlib City.

Re: syria
I don't know why this guy in France writes “the pseudo-imperialism US,” but hopefully it's either a bad translation or he means that the U.S. was not attacking Bashar al-Assad's regime and allies throughout the war, only ISIS (with a few exceptions).
Some analysis on the offensive of the Syrian opposition in western Aleppo.
It is essential to understand Syria's blockade situation, often misrepresented as an Assad 'victory', while the country is in agony. Attempts to rehabilitate the regime, in particular through the Arab League, have not produced any concrete changes. True to its habits, however, the regime considers this as a victory. Assad continues to block the return of millions of refugees, spill tons of drugs into the region, and even torpedo Putin-backed Erdogan's rappling initiatives. Recently, the Turkish Foreign Minister said that peace and stability in Syria are impossible with Assad in power.
That's why the opposition's current offensive appears to have received Turkey's tacit nod. As for Russia, it is mobilizing some of its air force to bomb, as usual, civilians, but without making any significant efforts to counter the rebels’ advance. This could reflect some discontent from Putin towards Assad, suggesting that even Moscow could grow tired of the Syrian regime’s maneuvers and tricks.
Morale at Assad's side is at an all time low, 5 years since the regime has been shouting victory while the situation of his base and the country continues to deteriorate, misery alongside the regime's opulence. Regime zones are emptying, Syrians are fleeing massively from corruption, poverty, insecurity, total lack of services, constipation... Syrians want to end it, the vast majority of Syrians know that as long as the regime is in place, a return to normality is impossible, and this is largely the reason for the Sweida Uprising that broke out in August 2023. In recent months, fighters of the regime have sought to flee Syria, some by taking the route of rebel zones. Assad's fighters saw the regime's contempt for the dead and disabled of his war and the total abandonment of their families makes the difference to the morale of the fighters. Beside Assad, many no longer want to die for the butcher of Damascus, and his propaganda no longer faces an impending reality: the fight against the pseudo-imperialism US, while Americans have only supported the fighters of the PKK terrorist militia allied of the regime and that Assad made Syria a vassal of Russian and Iranian imperialism.
This explains partly the rapid debacle in western Aleppo, not to mention the weakening of Hezbollah spears and Iranian militias in recent months. Opposition side, millions of forcibly exiled Syrians dream of reclaiming their lands and avenge their deaths, and millions of Syrians in the north of the country and exiled are massively supporting this offensive, seeing that Assad and his allies have blocked any hope of a transition and possible stability in the country. liquidating on united nations resolution 2254.

Re: syria
By another French activist -
A SUMMARY.
The Syrian Revolution is back and it defies the macabre order of Trump, Putin and Netanyahu!
Thursday 28th was signed, under the aegis of the United States, a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, celebrated on both sides as a victory, in fact a truce until Trump's inauguration.
This is undoubtedly the chosen moment, the shaken Hezbollah trying to rebuild its hold on Lebanon, a hold rejected by most of the population, by the HTS, Hayat Tahir al-Cham, to attempt a breakthrough on the regime's barracks located west of Aleppo.
The HTS is mainly originated from al-Nosra, an Islamic army that emerged after the revolution broke out in 2011 and while it was deprived of weapons, al-Nosrah being linked to al-Qaeda and the Gulf monarchies?. They then tried to either reverse or control the revolution - and actually failed. Subsequently, Daesh, the enemy movement of the HTS structured by the former political policies formed by the FSB, especially in Iraq, took over this direct counter-revolutionary role, and the HTS, formed in 2017, both ensured the protection of insurgent areas, attempted to frame them while stepping back on the essence of the application of sharia, fought Daesh, and served as a relay to the influence of Erdogan's Turkey. The HTS is powerful in the refugee-populated Idlib enclave but it is also very controversial.
The operation initiated on the morning of the 28th was very quickly a gigantic and unexpected success. The main reason for this is the advanced degree of decomposition of a State and an army that does not pay its men, all driven to trafficking and looting, who immediately deserted or fled the camp. Stockpiles of weapons, including Russians, were seized immediately and made the offensive militarily powerful. And tens of thousands of men, inhabitants of Aleppo who had fled in 2016, including those who had repeatedly protested against the HTS, then arrived claiming themselves, from the ASL, Free Syrian Army, the old slogan born in the revolution when it sought to arm itself, in 2011. They are the ones who invaded Aleppo and liberated the city center in the night of 28th to 29th.
Liberation of prisons began with a prison of hundreds of women. The crowd, including women, filled the streets, before the HTS decreed a curfew, accepted because of Russian bombings that have killed at least 18 people, and motivated by the risk of confrontation with the SDF - Syrian Democratic Forces, an armed coalition formed under the auspices of the Syrian Democratic Forces The United States around the Kurdish PYD party, linked to Turkey's PKK, and its militias YPG, FDS, which, in the north of Aleppo, are embedded with Russian troops, who actually tried to take the airport but gave up.
On Friday, November 29, the shock wave of the liberation of Aleppo literally made the regime's army collapse a little bit. In the late afternoon, the Free Syrian Army was in Hama, and insurgent demonstrations erupted in the regions of Homs and Deraa. Bachar el Assad went to Moscow on the 28th and placed his family there. Conflicting rumors speak of his return, clashes between the Pretorian guard and the army in Damascus, this is not confirmed at this time.
Such are, succinctly and to be there, the facts at this time.
Now their meaning: It's huge. The collapse of the Syrian torture and kleptomaniac regime was not planned by Tehran, Tel-Aviv, Washington, and, above all, Moscow. Ukrainians are actually protecting Syrians from a more massive Russian intervention, and Syrians are bringing Ukrainians the most help they have actually received, on the very day when the waiver of liberating Donbass in the current war is openly endorsed by Volodomyr Zelenski... but where does a Maidan start in Tbilisi, Georgia!
It's fair to say that the Syrian revolution contradicts everything that is happening, from Gaza to Donbass! Because Aleppo, the martyr of Aleppo, had actually been the departure of those from Marioupol and then from Gaza. It is this unit of the class struggle that camping and "geopolitics" want to forbid to understand.
The TV channels and the main French press are at the maximum with misinformation against Syria. Colonial relent of the time when they talked about fellagas in Algeria, fear of the revolution, inertia of the French state apparatus that loved the "Arab nationalist" regimes after 1962, deep and prolonged Putin disinformation, and pure and simple nonsense join together to tell everywhere that Aleppo was taken by Daesh or equivalent!
This lie is on the same level as the one on the Ukrainian nazis and we will find it in the "left" camper who, let's recall, applauded the martyr of Aleppo in 2015.
But this level of lying is questionable anyway. The Syrian revolution that is erupting again, and with such force, such a panache, is something unbearable to all imperialists - only Erdogan will try, with contradictions that will turn against him, to strengthen himself in the new framework he announces for the whole region, including for the democratic and national struggle of the Palestinian people. Putin, Trump, and all the rest, cannot accept these trouble-making people, these admirable people.
We must therefore conclude with a solemn warning. If the great people of this world, with the help of fact from campers to anarchists hypnotized by "Rojava", including, are preparing a mass crime, an armed intervention, a bombing of Putin, they will have to find in their way all the supporters of democracy and emancipation:

Re: syria
The LA Times reports that rebels have taken over Aleppo, including the airport and city center, and are headed towards Hama. They show a picture of rebels riding on vehicles underneath a large poster of Assad that hasn't yet been torn down. They mention that the rebel offensive took off at a time when Assad's allies "are busy." Yes, Russia is busy with Ukraine, and Iran is busy with Israel (Hezbollah and Hamas). Assad's military claims they are simply rearranging things, and the Russians claim they have bombed the Aleppo airport and killed a bunch of rebels.
Re: syria
Yes, Aleppo was taken a few days ago. Look at the comments under the pinned post on my Facebook page, as well as scroll down it for more. (I tried to tag you to the post, but Facebook has changed the way one does this and I failed.)

Re: syria
The rebels captured a helicopter and a jet at the airport outside Aleppo, and probably more. Does the L.A. Times mention this? https://www.facebook.com/donktt/posts/p ... 6HEMsVDSxl. Also, the rebels have been using drones and other weapons that they've never had before. I was thinking that they probably got them from Turkey, but a pretty serious Facebook guy thinks Ukraine supplied them, which is quite possible.
